SETTINGS

Quarter Length: 7 Minutes (No Acc. Clock)

Difficulty: All-Pro, Simulation

Trading: Week 8 Deadline (NO CPU TRADES)

Commissioners: Jesmonkey69, Tonic222, Capt Save A Ohh, Cincy Life, Chuunin Ninja

Advance Schedule: Every 48 Hours (M-W-F-S-T-T-S-M) @ 11 PM EST

Broadcasting: EVERYONE MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO BROADCAST (MIXER OR TWITCH). The HOME TEAM will broadcast every game. In the event that the AWAY TEAM wants to broadcast, the HOME TEAM is not obligated too. EVERY GAME MUST BE BROADCAST!

Coaches: EVERYONE MUST MAKE & USE A CREATED COACH, NO MATTER IF INITIALLY JOINING THE LEAGUE, ARE FIRED or ARE REPLACING ANOTHER USER.

Playbooks: NO CUSTOM OFFENSIVE PLAYBOOKS, CUSTOM DEFENSIVE PLAYBOOKS ALLOWED. YOU MUST USE YOUR TEAM SPECIFIC OFFENSIVE PLAYBOOK or GENERIC PLAYBOOK FOR AT LEAST THE 1st SEASON (As of right now it is UNTIL YOU’RE FIRED, THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE & will be reviewed after Season 1)

Penalties: PENALTIES WILL BE ASSESSED & GIVEN OUT BASED ON SET PENALTY FOR INFRACTION BY THE COMMISSIONERS, LISTED BY THE RULE. (IN REGARDS TO ALL DRAFT PICK PENALTIES ASSESSED FOR RULE VIOLATIONS, THE PERSON PENALIZED WILL BE FORCED TO DRAFT THE WORST PERSON ON THE BOARD RATING WISE IN THEIR DRAFT SPOT). There is a Disciplinary Committee this Madden in order to help the Commissioners catch all violators.  To see all violations & penalties assessed please check here.

 

 

RULES

 

1.) PLAYER POSITIONING/MOVEMENT/ATTRIBUTE CAP

  • a.)  NO RB should be lined up/depth chart as your #1, #2 WR, #3 WR. a few plays its understandable as Bush, CJ2k & few others do it for a few plays a game (3-4 plays).
  • b.)  LB/DE, only a 3-4 outside LB should be a DE in the 4-3 as per how the NFL works, if a person hasn’t/wouldn’t of played DE then don’t put him there other than the LB Rush Package. 
  • c.)  CB/FS/SS are interchangeable.  FS/SS cannot play any LB position. 
  • d.) NO MOVING DL PRE-SNAP (other than shifts) used with the  LB, RB buttons are OK).
  • e.) You may NOT move anyone on defense, other than the person you are user controlling (PRE–PLAY SHIFTS used with the Y, LB, RB buttons & strategy pad are OK).
    • Also DO NOT move a player out of position pre-snap, only to click off on him as soon as the ball is hiked, this is essentially just circumventing the above rule.
  • f.) NO RB may be lined up at FB in the depth chart or during game (other than Split-Back Formation), but any FB can play RB.
  • g.) WR CANNOT be moved to TE under any circumstance.
  • h.) Position Changes other than (FS/SS, OLB/MLB, OLINE) must be prior approved by a Commissioner.
  • i.) ATTRIBUTE STAT CAP OF 98 SPEED/96 ACCELERATION (Highest of each attributes on default Madden 18 Roster, higher can be game breaking)

2.) GAMEPLAY:

  • a.) NO NANO BLITZING. (PENALTY = LEAGUE EXPULSION if found purposefully doing it)
  • b.) NO REPEATED HURRY-UP OFFENSE (More than 2 or 3 times in a row) (unless your down in 4th or under 2 minutes in half/game).
  • c.) NO ONSIDE KICKS UNLESS DOWN IN THE 4th Quarter.
  • d.) NO GOING FOR IT ON 4th DOWN, UNLESS it fits one of these scenarios:
    • Throughout Game – 4th and 2 or less inside your opponents 40 Yard Line [Dead Man Zone]
    • 2nd Half – Down by 17 points or more.
    • 4th Quarter – Down by 9 Points or more
    • 4th Quarter – Under 4 Minutes losing by any amount.
    • 4th Quarter – A 1st down will not allow the Defense to get the ball back (SEALING THE GAME)
      • Penalty:
        • 1st Violation = Player  Suspended 1 Game
        • 2nd Violation = Player Suspended 2 Games
        • 3+ Violations = Owner Suspended 1 Game Per Additional Violation
          • If you are playing someone who breaks the 4th down rule press pause and try to reach a Commissioner (So we can make the player punt or kick the FG)
  • e.) You can’t hike the ball and just speed burst to the outside with your QB. Try to use the pocket,or roll out with your line.
    • You can’t intentionally drop your QB back 10+ yards just to get receivers open, or to take the ball and run unless getting heavily rushed. DESIGNED RUN OPTION/READ OPTION/VEER IS OK!
    • Penalty:
      • 1st Violation = Warning
      • 2nd Violation = QB Suspended 1 Game
      • 3+ Violations = QB Suspended 2 Games Per Violation
  • f.) No Goaline Offense/Defense Unless Inside The 10 Yard Line.
    • Penalty:
      • 1st Violation = Warning
      • 2nd Violation = Player Suspended 1 Game
      • 3+ Violations = Owner Suspended 1 Game Per Violation
  • g.) MIX UP YOUR PLAYS on Offense and Defense, if you run same plays over and over during a game, then you don’t belong here. Simply mix it up. Now, we didn’t say you can’t run all game or pass all game, if it’s working against the defense, then by all means do what you want, but mix the formations up. Don’t just run the I-form all game. Try and match up defensive formations to offensive formations EX: 4-3 vs 2WR sets or Dime vs 4WR sets.
    • Defense should be 70% Strength [If your teams strength is Man Coverage you should run Man 70%/Zone 30%].
  • h.) Running backwards or parallel to the line of scrimmage & to create separation then running forward IS NOT ALLOWED
  • i.) NO PLAY-ACTION PLAYS (THIS INCLUDES CANCELLING PLAY-ACTION) on 3rd and LONG (3rd & 6+), simply because a defense will NEVER bite on it & create multiple easy sacks, NO MATTER how much you run.  TRY TO USE FOOTBALL LOGIC WHEN YOU PLAY THE GAME aka BEING SIM.

      • Penalty:
        • 1st Violation = QB Suspended 1 Game
        • 2nd Violation = QB Suspended 2 Games
        • 3+ Violations = Owner Suspended 1 Game Per Additional Violation
  • j.) You must rush at minimum 3 players. You cannot pick a play that rushes three players then drop one back into coverage. You can not choose plays that only rush 2 players. NO 10 or 11 MAN ZONES MAY BE PLAYED, THIS IS NOT REAL DEFENSE!!!!
      • Penalty:
        • 1st Violation = Highest Overall Defender Suspended 1 Game
        • 2nd Violation = Highest Overall Defender Suspended 2 Games
        • 3+ Violations = Owner Suspended 1 Game Per Additional Violation
  • k.) The user who is losing should never allow opponent to score (pull players off, ect.) and/or encourage the opponent to play aggressive in order to get the ball back attempting to get more stats for any player. Creating a statistical game within the actual game is not SIM. Also giving up or “quitting” can effect playoff seedings & end of year awards (which give significant points to player development). If you aren’t gonna try hard & play the game all the way through, LEAVE NOW!!  (VIOLATION = EXPULSION FROM LEAGUE)
  • l.) Chew Clock: NO purposefully chewing clock whether it will be waiting at line or purposefully waiting for clock to tick down or turning on CHEW CLOCK,
    • Chew clock is to be used at the end of either half or up by 21 with 4 1/2 mins left in game.
  • m.) YOU MUST MAINTAIN BETWEEN a 60/40% RATIO of Run/Pass or Pass/Run over the course of the SEASON. There is NO individual game ratio requirement. (We even created a tool so that you the user can track it, download here)
    • The user DOESN’T meet the ratio & will serve an 8 gm suspensionratio2
    • The user DOES meet the ratio. NO PENALTY.ratio3
  • n.) NO QUITTING PERIOD, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. ALL VIOALTORS WILL BE SUSPENDED OR IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM THE LEAGUE.

3.) SPECIAL TEAMS:

  • a.) You are 1 fake Punt or FG a game on 4th down & 3 or less, anywhere on the field. (Violation = MUST GIVE OPPONENT THE BALL BACK)
  • b.) DURING KICKOFF/PUNT RETURNS YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MOVE ANYONE OTHER THAN THE RETURNER (NO PULLING BACK LINEMEN/GUNNERS PRE-SNAP).
    • Penalty:
      • 1st Violation = Returner Suspended 1 Game
      • 2nd Violation = Returner Suspended 2 Games
      • 3+ Violations = Owner Suspended 1 Game Per Violation
  • c.) You may go for a 2 point conversion on any touchdown

4.) TRADING/FREE AGENCY/OFF-SEASON:

  • a.) NO DROP TRADES
  • b.) NO TANKING GAMES FOR BETTER DRAFT PICKS!!
  • c.) Traded Players must play at least two games with their new team before it is completely finalized to prevent from poaching. For example: if the Giants and I make a trade then the Giants leave the league the week after, the trade must be reversed (VIOLATION = TRADE REVERSED)
  • d.) 3 TRADE LIMIT PER SEASON, 2 PER OFF-SEASON (If you are doing a trade that includes 2 transactions, this will be considered 2 trades)
    • Trades During Draft MAY ONLY BE FOR THE PICK THAT IS CURRENTLY BEING DRAFTED. IF YOUR CURRENT PICK IS NOT INVOLVED YOU CANNOT TRADE (NO MORE UNLIMITED TRADING DURING DRAFT!)
      • PENALTY: VIOLATORS MUST REVERSE TRADE & SUFFER THE CAP PENALTY CONSEQUENCES (NO EXCUSE)
  • e.) Trades MUST now be approved through our Trade Calculator. You may make the trade at anytime, but if the Trade is found to not be deemed as FAIR by the calculator, then the trade must be REVERSED IMMEDIATELY (ANY CAP HIT THAT OCCURS WILL NOT BE CLEARED).

  • f.) You are NOT ALLOWED to cut players and then re-sign them to a cheap one year contract during the Season (You must wait until Off-season Free Agency if you plan on cutting a player to re-sign him to a different contract)
    • Penalty = Player must be cut or suspended for remainder of the season (Regardless of Cap Implications)
  • g.) Any player acquired by Trade/Off-Season FA/Regular Season FA, MUST COMPLETE A FULL SEASON on your team before he can become eligible for Trade.
  • h.) You may NOT trade players drafted in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round the year they are drafted. They must play 1 season on your team.
  • i.) NO 3 TEAM TRADES!

5.) SPORTSMANSHIP:

  • a.) Winning teams, when the game is effectively over (less than 2 mins left to go and a 17+ point lead), need to kneel the ball or run the ball to finish the game clock out. 
    • You CAN NOT RUN UP THE SCORE!!! If you have a 4 possession lead or more you must play accordingly. Passes being thrown to run up the score for the winning team or tosses/pitches that are intentionally being run to score will not be tolerated.
    • Use conservative play calling just as they would do in the NFL or put your subs in and run the ball to keep clock running, as finishing the game with healthy players becomes priority in this situation.
      • This does NOT mean you have to run the ball all three plays. You can always attempt to gain the first down but there is a difference between being aggressive and trying to get first down to continue running clock.
      • Accumulating stats for your rookies is not a valid reason to run the score up on a weaker opponent – PLAY NICE and DON’T BE A STAT *****!
    • Penalty:
      • 1st Violation = Owner Suspended 2 Games
      • 2nd Violation = Owner Suspended 4 Games
      • 3+ Violations = Owner Suspended 8 Games per Additional Violation
  • b.) Do not be disrespectful or immature to your opponent. 

6.) CPU GAMES/SCHEDULING/DISCONNECTS:

  • a.) Games should be scheduled within 24 Hours after the league has advanced [If you fail to contact your opponent within 24 hours of advance it could result in being placed on Auto Pilot].
  • b.) If you are trying to schedule your game for the week, PLEASE let your opponent AND a commissioner know with a XBL message please (BEFORE YOU SEND MESSAGE HIT EDIT RECIPIENTS AND ADD THE COMMISSIONERS NAMES TO THE MESSAGE). (Therefore we know who really is trying to play their games)
  • c.) If your game disconnects at any point during the 1st half or in close game you will MOCK game back to Quarter/Possession/Score unless BOTH owners agree to replay from beginning.
    • If ONE owner wants to MOCK game then it will be MOCKED back to SCORE/QUARTER/POSSESSION.
    • If game is disconnected at end of the 3rd [less than 2 minutes] or later and it is a blowout [up 22 points or more] then the User that is Winning can choose to MOCK game back to that point or take the Force Win
    • In the 4th quarter with 3 minutes or less if you are down 17 points or more and game DC, the person with lead will be given Force Win.
  • d.) YOU ARE REQUIRED TO JOIN OUR DISCORD APP ON YOUR PHONE/CPU/TABLET, THIS WILL HELP SET UP GAMES AND THUS BE LESS SIMS
    • EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE IF YOU HAVE NO PHONE OR ARE ON A PAY PER MINUTE/TEXT PLAN)
  • e.) 2 Simmed for games with no communication (or prior warning) is cause for League Expulsion (LIFE HAPPENS WE WILL WORK WITH YOU)
  • f.) ALL GAMES TO BE PLAYED, MUST BE STARTED BY 10 PM EST ON ADVANCE DAY OR YOUR GAME WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE SIMMED (WE ADVANCE @ 11 PM EST, SO NO LAST MINUTE TRYING TO PLAY!!)
  • g.) IF COMMISSIONERS HAVE NOT RECEIVED A MESSAGE FROM YOU OR YOUR OPPONENT TRYING TO CONTACT YOUR OPPONENT, BY THE SECOND DAY OF THE ADVANCE WEEK (ie NOT ADVANCE DAY) YOUR GAME WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE SIMMED!!!
  • h.) IF YOU ARE PLAYING SOMEONE TBAT YOU FEEL HAS VIOLATED THE RULES:  PAUSE THE GAME, CONTACT A COMMISSIONER, GET INTO A PARTY WITH YOUR OPPONENT & COMMISSIONER(S), WE WILL THEN DICTATE A RESOLUTION!!
